The quality of this photography is determined by a number of factors, particularly the scale of the photography and the resolution.

There is full coverage of all map scales as above for South Africa.

All digital maps of South Africa are geo-referenced in Geographic projection (WGS84 datum). These maps may be geo-referenced to any other common projection on request. Other African countries have neither all scale nor full coverage of the country.

All aerial imagery for South Africa taken after 2000 is both georeferenced and rectified. The date of the photography varies according to locality.

Availability for any particular year will be confirmed on request. (Co-ordinates or shape files are the best means of identifying area required.)

The simplest way in which to establish availability is by contacting us, in which case we need a coordinate or shape file to identify the area required.

Vector data of South Africa is most commonly extracted at 1:50 000 scale. Data available includes:

• Cadastral data (Property boundaries and property description).
